Mauritius Island Beach

Pereybere Beach is located at the northern district of Mauritius. This is one of the most popular public beaches so far:  the sand is so soft and as you get into the sea, the water is so clear, you are bound to enjoy it! However, the beach has become very popular and touristic. The best time to swim is early morning when the beach is very quiet and the water is fresh or late afternoon just before the sunset.

You can also find good accomodation in the area (from self-contained apartments and bungalows) with fantastic views of the beach and local shops, cafes, bars and restaurants in the vicinity, just a few minutes walk from the public beach. Pereybere is the perfect holiday destination for the family!

The Coin de Mire beach is less popular but it is the perfect place for a calming and quiet experience, relaxing with the seabreeze and the sound of the birds chip. This is ideal for people who want to have more privacy. A picnic area is located on the other side of the beach, with a nearby hotel and restaurant on the other side of the road. Take the opportuninity to have a walk on the beach and feel the amazing softness of the sand. It is also very common to find beautiful seashells along the beach and collect them.

Trou aux Biches forms part of the northern shores of Mauritius Island with crystal clear water and great hotels and bungalows in the surroundings. The area has developed very quickly, with several shops and restaurants. The public beach is also a popular place for picnics under the 'filao' tree where some locals spend the weekend camping with tents and enjoy a special time with their relatives.
